Hazmat Crews Working To Remove Dangerous Chemicals

UPDATED: 5:20 p.m. MST January 25, 2002

The Extended Stay Motel at 120th Ave. and Zuni St. was evacuated Friday evening after a suspected meth lab was found in one of the motel rooms.

The North Metro Drug Task Force uncovered the clandestine lab and called for the fire department.

Vapors from meth labs can be highly volatile. Two people died in a Denver fire last weekend that was blamed on a meth lab.
