A 16-year-old boy pleaded guilty as an accessory Wednesday in the slaying of a Lafayette mother, his attorney said.

The teen was immediately sentenced to two years in the Department of Youth Corrections, which he will begin serving immediately, attorney Lance Goff said. The teen also will have six months of mandatory parole as part of the sentencing agreement.

TheDenverChannel is not identifying the teenager because he was not charged as an adult.

It is possible that as part of his plea, the teen will testify against the other defendants in the case but his attorney did not elaborate.

Linda Damm's decomposing body was found by police in the trunk of her Subaru in the garage of her home on Feb. 28. The county corner said she had likely been dead for a month before her body was found.

Damm's 15-year-old daughter, Tess, was arrested in connection with the case and was charged as an adult with conspiracy to commit murder, accessory to murder and tampering with evidence in the case.

Tess Damm's boyfriend, Bryan Grove, 17, was charged as an adult with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence. Investigators said Grove admitted choking and then stabbing Linda Damm in her home.

Jared Guy, 18, a friend of Grove, was charged as an adult as an accessory and tampering with evidence. He was arrested at a high school dance just before he was to propose to his girlfriend.

Guy was released on $5,000 bond last week after he agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case.

Tess Damm and Grove are supposed to have preliminary hearing on May 21. Jared Guy is in court for an arraignment on May 10.
