A New Zealand ski racer has posted bond in the alleged assault on an Aspen, Colo., skier following the 24 Hours of Aspen race.
Nathan Kirk, 24, posted bond Monday following his arrest after Aspen resident Matt Ross, 33, reported that three of his teeth were knocked out in a weekend assault.
The altercation took place in the men's bathroom of a local bar on Saturday night, police said.
Ross would not comment about the incident other than to say he was "sucker punched" by the suspect.
Ross and Fletcher Yaw, also of Aspen, finished third in the 24 Hours of Aspen endurance ski race, held last week on Aspen Mountain.
