DENVER -- The Division of Wildlife said the best thing to do for a goose that was found with an arrow in its leg is to leave it alone. The goose was spotted at Clement Park in Littleton about two weeks ago, neighbors said. It appears the goose was shot with an arrow.Tyler Baskerfield with the Division of Wildlife said they dispatched volunteers to check on the goose after they received calls about the injured animal.
Wildlife officials said they determined that the goose did not seem to be immobilized and decided to wait until the arrow falls off. Baskerfield said if officials tried to capture the goose, they were concerned it would do more damage than good.Baskerfield said the goose seemed to be swimming and feeding OK.
