Attorney For Teen Denies Claim

The daughter of a Lafayette woman found slain in her home told police that her boyfriend may have had help in the killing, the Boulder Daily Camera reported in its Wednesday editions.

According to a report obtained by the paper, Tess Damm, 15, said her boyfriend, Bryan Grove, 17, was helped by a friend in stabbing Linda Damm to death. The report is from a police detective who interviewed Tess Damm shortly after she was arrested.

She told the investigator that the day her mother was killed, she dropped Grove at the home and drove around. She said Grove called a friend.

According to the report obtained by the newspaper, Tess Damm said when she returned to the home at 705 W. Brome Place on Feb. 4, Grove and his friend were smoking in the garage and told her, "We killed your mom."

The person named by Damm is under arrest but has not been formally charged. He has a court hearing set for Friday in Boulder.

An attorney for the 16-year-old denied that his client participated in the killing and Grove's statement to police after his arrest indicated he was the only person involved.

Grove was charged as an adult with first-degree murder, and Damm was charged as an adult with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Jared Guy, 18, was charged with being an accessory after the fact after police say he twice tried to help dispose of Linda Damm's body. His bond was lowered Tuesday from $500,000 to $50,000.
