DENVER -- Official DNA results on the blood found in a Grand Junction home where a woman and her daughter are missing are finally in the hands of Mesa County sheriffs, 7NEWS reported.
To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, the results are not being made public and will not be shared with the family, authorities said.
Jennifer Blagg, 34, and her 6-year-old daughter, Abby, were reported missing Nov. 13.
Michael Blagg returned home from work to find an empty house and a pool of blood in the master bedroom.
The large pool of blood is the only real clue for authorities, who have said it indicates one or both of them is dead. There was no forced entry in the home and there were no drops of blood found on the carpet near the bed, 7NEWS reported.
Detectives spent days scouring the banks of the Colorado River near the home but they have found no sign of the stay-at-home mother and the Blaggs' only child.
Authorities have said they don't believe a stranger is responsible for Jennifer and Abby's disappearance. They have also said that no person has been ruled out as a suspect.
Michael Blagg steadfastly maintains that he did not have anything to do with the disappearance of his wife and daughter. He moved out of the home last weekend, saying that he can't live in the house anymore, and doesn't think his wife and daughter would want to return to their home after what has happened.
Blagg moved into an apartment that has enough room for the return of his wife and daughter.
Over the next few weeks, investigators will travel to other states where the Blaggs have lived to interview friends, relatives and neighbors.
