LAFAYETTE, Colo. -- A fourth teenager is under arrest in connection with the slaying of a 52-year-old Lafayette woman.Police said that Jared Sajal Guy, 18, is suspected of trying to help dump Linda Damm's body after she was stabbed to death.According to the arrest affidavit, Guy is suspected of helping to get rid of the decomposing body in a cemetery in Boulder.
Guy said he and Damm's daughter's boyfriend first took the body to the Erie landfill, but their car got stuck in the mud, so they returned to the house with the body. The next night he, Damm's daughter and her boyfriend took the body to Green Mountain Cemetery, the court document said, stating they "took the body to the cemetery near his school, New Vista High School, in Boulder. They found a spot next to a tree and dug a shallow grave.""They did not bury the body deep enough and there was a hump," Guy told police. He said they then left because "they got spooked by someone believed to be a police officer."After the teens left they realized they didn't bury her well enough, so they drove back to the cemetery and dug up the body and put it in the back of the Subaru, the arrest affidavit said. The decomposing body stayed in the back of Damm's Subaru station wagon, parked in her garage at 705 W. Brome Place until authorities found it last Wednesday after receiving an anonymous tip.According to the affidavit, Guy told investigators that Damm's daughter and her boyfriend first showed him the body stuffed in the back of the car about 10 days after she was killed, and asked if he would help them dispose of the body.Guy said before seeing the body for himself, he didn't believe Damm was actually dead.Guy said he was told that Damm was drunk and trying to choke her daughter when the daughter's boyfriend threw the woman off the girl and stabbed the woman out of self-defense. However, Guy told investigators he later learned that this story was not true.An autopsy revealed that Damm, also known as Linda Juergens, died from multiple stab wounds to the neck. She had been dead for several weeks, the coroner said.Guy's arrest affidavit said she had been dead for at least a month, and was not discovered by police until about three weeks after the teens tried to dispose of her body in the cemetery.Guy was arrested late Friday and booked into jail early Saturday, but the arrest wasn't announced until Monday.Guy was in court Monday to be read his rights. He could be charged Wednesday with accessory to murder after the fact -- a felony that has a maximum prison sentence of six years.During his hearing, he asked the magistrate to reduce his $500,000 bond so he could be released."I know what I did was wrong. I haven't even graduated yet. If I'm here any longer, my future will be torn apart," he said.Police also arrested Damm's 15-year-old daughter, her 17-year-old boyfriend and one of his 16-year-old friends in connection with the slaying. They are also expected to be formally charged in Boulder County District Court on Wednesday.Guy will be charged as an adult because he's 18, but it's unknown whether the others will be treated as juveniles or adults.7NEWS is not releasing their names at this time because they are juveniles.According to Guy's arrest affidavit, the 15-year-old also faces accessory to murder charges and her boyfriend faces first-degree murder charges.Police have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the woman's death, but the affidavit says she died on Jan. 27 or Jan. 28.The 15-year-old girl's MySpace page alludes to her strained relationship with her mom, saying that it caused her to move out of the house twice."Everyone knows the story of me and my mom ... and everyone knows how much I've tried to fix it my whole life," she wrote. "And everyone knows how it never works .. I could write a book about how confusing it is trying to please that woman... and trying to do whatever I can to get her to stop drinking. Like honestly, I'd do anything. But nothing really ever works. And the sh** that goes on at home, frays out and effects every part of my life."Damm's daughter also wrote, "I don't even feel at home in my own home. Today, I got so pissed at my mom, she puts me under so much stress, honestly its insane, and I couldn't handle it and I freaked out, my Bi-Polarness came out. And I can't help but wonder if (my boyfriend) is looking at me get so angry and is like, 'Oh, damn, this is not something I want to be with.' So I try to contain it. But anyone with Bi-Polar knows that the more you contain your anger, the worse it becomes. But I try anyways, and it kills me."Neighbors reported hearing loud fights between the mother and daughter. And one neighbor said Damm came to his house crying, saying that her daughter was too much to handle."I know how to fight. Not just physically, but verbally too," the 15-year-old girl wrote. She said "my family means a lot to me, but so do my friends."The girl wrote passionately about her love for her boyfriend, who is also accused in the case.On Feb. 10, she wrote, "The love we have for each other is the kinda that most people only dream about their whole lives. (My boyfriend) is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I wouldn't give that up for anything."On Feb. 15, the girl's boyfriend wrote: "Who am I? i dont even know anymore / i did something that i shouldnt have / i did things that i shouldnt have / but i did them / with my two hands / and one foot / i hate myself for it / i think i have been forgiven / but / it still kills me to know / i just want to take a hammer to my head / a needle to my veins / i just want to drink a barrel of cyanide / to make this pain go away / its what i deserve for what i did."
