Second Berthoud Wrestler Leaves Hospital

DENVER -- The second high school wrestler who lost his legs in a car crash last month has been released from the hospital.Nikko Landeros was released from Denver Health Medical Center on Monday."I'm excited to go home and look forward to returning to my normal life with my family and friends. I appreciate everything people have done for both Tyler and me. I'm looking forward to joining Tyler in rehab and getting well soon. I can't wait to get back to school and see my friends," Landeros said.
Laura Landeros, Nikko's mother, said she is also grateful."We want to thank the entire community -- especially the Berthoud and wrestling communities -- for their generous support of the boys," Laura Landeros said.
