DENVER -- The man known as Don Vito on the MTV show "Viva la Bam" was bound over Thursday in Jefferson County for trial on three counts of sexual assault on a child.A judge said at a hearing on Thursday that there was probable cause that Vincent Roy Margera, 50, had committed three counts of sexual assault on a child.Margera is accused of inappropriately fondling or groping 12- and 14-year-old girls during separate incidents at a signing event at a skate park at the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood.
Prosecutors presented evidence at Thursday's preliminary hearing that Magera had touched or grabbed the buttocks of one 12-year-old girl and touched the breasts of two other girls, ages 12 and 14 in August 2006.Police said the three girls had gone to the skate park to get Margera's autograph and have their photo taken with him during an MTV promotional event.Margera plays Don Vito, the uncle of MTV's "Viva La Bam" star Bam Margera.Margera's arraignment is scheduled for March 5. He is free on $50,000 bond.
