Haggard's Accuser Visits New Life Church
POSTED: 4:28 am MST January 29,

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The former male prostitute whose accusations against New Life Church founder Ted Haggard led to Haggard's dismissal as pastor visited the megachurch in Colorado Springs Sunday. Mike Jones, who is working on a book, said several people shook his hand and told him, "God bless you." He said he wanted to get some perspective on the church and its members for his book.
Haggard resigned last year as president of the National Association of Evangelicals after Jones alleged Haggard met him for sex trysts. Haggard publicly admitted in November to unspecified "sexual immorality" and was fired as pastor of the 14,000-member New Life Church. Associate pastor Rob Brendle said Haggard and his wife have completed a counseling program in Arizona.
