Three Additional Arrests Made In Springs Fire

DENVER -- Three additional arrests have been made in the Castle West apartment fire investigation, Colorado Springs police said.The Jan. 16 fire claimed the lives of two people. Police ruled their deaths as homicides.On Thursday, police arrested 26-year-old Patrick Lewis; 24-year-old Eric Johnson and 31-year-old Sean Lovelace on accessory to first-degree murder charges in connection with the fire.
Last week, police arrested cousins Derrick Johnson, 23, and Gene Johnson, 36, on suspicion of first-degree murder.An autopsy identified the two fire victims as 52-year-old Joe Santoya and 32-year-old Clemente Perez Salgado, both of Colorado Springs.The Colorado Springs Fire Department said the secondary search of the apartment was complete. No additional victims were found.Since a gag order has been issued in the investigation, no further details were released.
