You've probably read the report -- when it comes to dangerous weapons, the state tells you how many incidents happened on your child's campus.

The state doesn't tell you if you child is attending one of the most dangerous schools in the Denver area. 7NEWS Investigates will.

Out of 77 area high schools, these six schools had the most reports of dangerous weapons on campus:

  • Standley Lake and Jefferson High, both in Jefferson County

  • Thornton High in the Adams 12 District

  • Abraham Lincoln and South High in Denver Public Schools

If your child attends Montbello High, that school reported more dangerous weapons than any of the Denver area's 77 high schools.

Out of 91 Denver-area middle schools, these seven had the most dangerous weapons incidents:

  • Kunsmiller in Denver

  • Everitt in JeffCo

  • Thornton in the Adams 12 District

Kepner, Martin Luther King Junior and Lake Middle Schools -- all in the Denver District -- are next highest on the list.

If your child attends Rishel Middle School, also in DPS, that school reported more dangerous weapons than any of the area's 91 middle schools.

We also reviewed records from 423 Denver-area elementary schools. These five had the most reports of dangerous weapons:

  • Centennial, Greenlee and Whiteman, all in the Denver Public School District

  • Stott Elementary School in JeffCo

If your kids go to Molholm Elementary -- also in the JeffCo District -- that school reported more dangerous weapons incidents than any other elementary school.
