A single-vehicle rollover accident claimed the life of an 11-year old Boulder girl and sent three others to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Hanna Peterson, 11, and Nolan Peterson, 5, were ejected from the SUV when it rolled on I-80 near Green River, Wyo. Hanna was killed in the accident and Nolan was flown by air ambulance to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Neither was using a seat belt or child restraint at the time of the accident.

The driver, 38-year-old Alan Peterson, and the front seat passenger, 38-year0old Jodie Peterson, were both treated and released from a hospital.

Wyoming State Patrol said the driver of the vehicle was distracted, went off the highway, and then overcorrected, causing the 2001 GMC Yukon to roll one and a half times.

This is the first fatality reported in Wyoming during the Operation CARE Thanksgiving Holiday reporting period.
