Suspect Named In East Denver Slaying

Police Look For Timothy Boham

POSTED: 2:08 pm MST November 15, 2006

Denver police have named a suspect in the slaying of a 43-year-old man whose body was found in his East Denver home on Monday.

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Timothy John Boham, 25, on charges of first-degree murder, police said.

"It is possible that Mr. Boham has fled the State of Colorado and is to be considered armed and dangerous," the police statement said.

The body of John Paul Kelso was found by a cleaning employee in his Congress Park home in the 3600 block of East Seventh Avenue Parkway on Monday.

Police did not say how they identified Boham as a suspect, other than to say it was "through the investigative process." Police said it appeared the two men knew each other.

Anyone with information about Boham or his whereabouts was asked to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Denver Police Department. Anonymous tips can be phoned in to Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
