DENVER -- Denver traffic will get its first taste of T-REX starting Monday morning.
At 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, crews were expected to close the northbound Downing and Emerson Street off ramps and the Washington Street on ramp.
The ramps will remain closed until 2005."I think everyone is just going to have to grin and bear it until it gets done," motorist Carl Thomte said.
The ramps are being closed early to prevent cars from trying to avoid I-25 traffic by exiting into nearby neighborhoods, 7NEWS reported.University Avenue and Lincoln Street should be able to handle the extra traffic created by the ramp closures, T-REX officials said.Officials said they can and will change things if traffic gets too backed up in the area.
