MONTEZUMA COUNTY, Colo. -
Montezuma County sheriff's officials have arrested someone in connection with a fire in southwest Colorado that prompted evacuations of 30 homes.
The person, whose name authorities wouldn't release, was being held Thursday on suspicion of fourth-degree arson. Bond was set at $3,000.
Sheriff's officials have said the Roatcap Fire started Wednesday and spread to more than 380 acres in high winds. They said it was sparked by someone burning trash on private land.
The Cortez Journal reports the fire was 70 percent contained Thursday.
Firefighters are still battling another wildfire in central Colorado. The Wetmore Fire in Custer County has burned about three square miles. It is 65 percent contained.
Fourteen homes were destroyed.
