Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets have signed guard/forward Dahntay Jones, team Vice President of Basketball Operations Mark Warkentien announced Wednesday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-6 Jones averaged 18.4 points per game in five games for the Nuggets 2008 NBA Summer League team that finished 4-1. He spent time with the Sacramento Kings last season, appearing in 25 games and averaging 3.2 points per game.

In his five-year career with Memphis and Sacramento, Jones has posted 4.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in 246 career appearances. He was drafted 20th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2003 NBA Draft.
