Women suffering from symptoms of menopause -- including anxiety, stress and depression -- will likely feel better if they make walking part of their routine, researchers say.A team from Temple University followed 380 women in Philadelphia and studied them for about eight years."With the aging population, physical activity represents one way for women to stay mentally healthy. Physical activity can help throughout the menopausal transition and afterwards," said Deborah Nelson, the study's lead author.
However, taking a moderately paced stroll couldn't solve everything. The study did not show that exercise reduced physical symptoms such as hot flashes.
