Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11 and many businesses are offering free meals and other deals for veterans. **Very important note: Many websites are publishing deals. I am only publishing deals I can confirm. I have seen lists of Veterans Day deals that have more than 6-10 mistakes. Most of my deals have links so you can read about the deal yourself.**
is giving veterans and active duty military a free entree from a limited menu on Nov. 11.
Veterans and active duty military members eat free at Applebee's
on Nov. 11. You must show proof of military service such as a U.S. Uniform Services ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, Current leave and earnings statement, Veterans organization card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, citation or commendation. Veterans and active duty service people will have to choose items from a special, limited menu.
is offering a free entree from a limited menu to Veterans and active military members from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 11. Beverage and gratuity not included. You will need to show proof of military service. The offer is not on Chili's website, however two of their Public Relations employees confirmed the deal.

restaurants across the country are offering different deals. Some restaurants are offering military members past and present $19.43 percent off their means from Nov. 7 to Nov. 11. (19.43 because Uno was born in 1943.) The Denver restaurant is offering a free entree (no special or limited menus involved) to active and retired military.

Great Scotts Eatery (Denver & Broomfield) and Jays Grille & Bar in Denver are offering a free meal (up to $8) to veterans with military I.D. on Nov. 11.

is hosting a military appreciate "thank you" dinner on Monday, Nov. 14. The website doesn't say what time the dinner is at, but in the past it has been held from 5 to 9 p.m. Check with your local restaurant for its thank you dinner times.

ProCuts Hair salon's locations in Lakewood and Littleton are offering free haircuts for veterans on Nov. 11. The owner of those two locations told me, "ProCuts wants to say Thank You to our veterans. Drop by our two ProCuts locations in Lakewood and Littleton on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, show proof of current or past service in our armed forces, and receive a free haircut. Call 1-888-PRO-CUTS (1-888-776-2887) for the location nearest you." This deal is only valid at the Lakewood and Littleton locations.

You may have heard that Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut to veterans. Officials sent me an e-mail that said, "The free doughnut on Veteran's Day promotion is not a corporate-wide initiative. However, there are some Krispy Kreme Shops offering this promotion in various ways throughout the country. Your readers are welcome to contact their local Krispy Kreme to find out if they are participating in this offer."
