Tax Help Colorado program offers free tax preparation

Individuals who made less than $50,000 in 2012 can get their taxes done for no cost at one of Tax Help Colorado's 27 locations statewide.
An estimated 50,000 Colorado families miss out on as much as $85 million in Earned Income Tax Credit refunds each year because they don't realize they exist., according to the Piton Foundation, which sponsors the program.
Families with household incomes of less than $50,000 can be eligible for up to $5,000 in refunds through the EITC. For more information, visit www.piton.org.
