Voting has concluded for the newest NASA spacesuit.
The Z-2 marks several milestones for NASA, including the first surface-specific planetary mobility suit to be tested in full vacuum and the first use of 3D human laser scans and 3D-printed hardware for suit development and sizing.
Dan Huot with the NASA Jefferson Space Center said he's heard people compare these new designs to films like Prometheus and Tron.
The three designs are Biomimicry, Technology and Trends in Society.
NASA expects to have a fully built Z-2 suit by November 2014.
The suits will not go to Mars, but will be used to train for future exploration missions of the red planet.
As of Monday, more than 200,000 people have chosen their favorite design.
