Bugaboo Cameleon3 strollers recalled due to fall hazard
Last Updated: 258 days ago
Over 10,000 strollers are being recalled because of a carrying handle that can break, detach and pose a fall hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Bugaboo Cameleon3 strollers have a removable U-shaped carry handle that can be used to transport the bassinet or seat separately from the chassis. Consumers with recalled strollers are advised to remove the carry handle and contact the company for a replacement.
While awaiting the new handle, parents can continue to use the seat or bassinet when they are attached to the chassis.
The recalled strollers are marked with serial numbers from 19010 11153 00001 to 19010 51248 00215. The numbers are printed on a horizontal bar of the stroller’s chassis beneath the seat.
The strollers were sold at Buy Buy Baby, Toys R Us, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bugaboo.com and others from September 2012 to March 2013 for between $889 and $1,600.
