Local Boulder, Colorado specialty retailer unveils plans for a store remodel in the spring of 2013.

Completion scheduled for fall of this year.

Christy Sports announces plans for a complete remodel of their store in Boulder, CO.  Construction will begin March 11, 2013.

The remodeled store will provide almost 16,000 square feet of retail space on two stories.  Boulder residents will enjoy 12 foot windows creating naturally lit showrooms, two main entrances, high ceilings and a spacious mezzanine.  “Christy Sports has been in the same location in Boulder for over 20 years and is looking forward to supporting the community for years to come. The design of our remodeled store was born from a desire to provide more selection while still maintaining an open, spacious feel,” said Hugh O’Winter, Project Manager for Christy Sports.

Upon its completion in the fall of 2013, the expanded retail space will host a greater selection of ski and snowboard equipment.  Additionally, there will be larger rental and tuning departments to keep up with the current demands of Boulder residents.  “We understand the needs of Boulder residents, so we are going to carry more outdoor-wear, lifestyle clothing, and side-country gear.  They can expect the same great service accompanied by an unprecedented selection of products,” said Dan Fox, Director of Front Range Operations for Christy Sports.

Due to the massive scope of the project, the store will be closed during the remodeling process.  Their current location will be open through March 10, 2013; however, a temporary Boulder store location will be opened across the street at 2071 30th Street in the Aspen Plaza shopping center on March 11 2013.

“We want all of our loyal customers to know that even though our building is under construction; our interim location is just across the street.  They will be able to return their season rentals, exchange gear, and continue to rent equipment through the end of the ski season.  This summer we will have a boutique selection of patio furniture,” remarked Dennis Meeker, Manager of the Boulder Christy Sports.
