DENVER -- Elitch Gardens is planning to build a new thrill ride for the 2017 season.
The Star Flyer is a swing, but it's a high-flying swing, that includes a 17-story tower.
Elitch Gardens said Star Flyer it will be one of the tallest rides in Colorado.
"On this extreme swing ride, 48 guests sit two across in open-air seats, feet dangling and hair blowing, ascending to the top of the 17-story tower while flying round and round," Elitch Gardens said about the new ride. "Riders will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of their favorite park attractions, Downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains."
Star Flyer will be the seventh new ride at Elitch Gardens in the last six years, officials said.
