DENVER - This is the week to visit your National Parks for free.
April 22-26 is National Parks Week. To celebrate, officials are waiving entrance fees for visitors.
Did you know Colorado has FOUR national parks?
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Mesa Verde National Park
- Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
You can also get free admission this week at Colorado's two National Monuments -- Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and Colorado National Monument.
If you can't go this week, there are five more free admission days this year -- August 25 (National Park Service Birthday), September 28 (National Public Lands Day) and November 9, 10 and 11 (Veterans Day weekend).
Note: While admission is free, there are still fees for reservations, camping, tours, concessions and other fees collected by third parties.
