DENVER - It's time for one of my favorite deals of the year -- half-price tickets to the Denver Broncos.
One day a year, the Broncos and Ticketmaster sell 2,000 half-price tickets to each home game.
In 2013, the sale will be on Monday, July 8. This year, full-price tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m., half-price tickets will go on sale at 1 p.m.
The half-price tickets are only available online at Ticketmaster.com and through Ticketmaster's charge-by-phone system at 800-745-3000.
When buying tickets on Ticketmaster.com, make sure you look for the line that says "on sale: Mon, 7/8/13 01:00 PM" Those are the half price tickets.
The half-price tickets are required in the legislation that authorized the construction of Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
-- Rules For Half-Price Tickets --
There are lots of rules you should know before you buy, such as only the purchaser can pick up the tickets on the day of the game and that person (and their group) must go directly into the stadium after picking up the tickets.
You can only buy four half-price tickets per household per season.
You must pick up your tickets on the day of the game and go directly into the stadium, so you can't resell the tickets. You must bring the credit card to the game that you used to buy the tickets.
I buy half-price tickets each year. They sell out quickly on Ticketmaster's website.
There are no name changes.
