DENVER - Halloween is six weeks away and that means corn mazes are opening, Haunted Houses are opening and kids are thinking about costumes.
Here are a few ways to save you money. If you see a Halloween deal, please e-mail me Debbie (Debbie@thedenverchannel.com).
Here are some deals I have seen so far:
- Corn maze. Channel 7 is proud to sponsor the Harvest Fest corn maze and fall festival in Wellington. Get $2 off with this coupon from my friends in the sales department: http://media.thedenverchannel.com/documents/13Coupon.pdf
- Visit Elitch Gardens on Broncos game days (Sept 29-Oct 27) and get $18 off admission if you wear a Broncos T-shirt or jersey. Again, this offer is only on ganme days.
- Goodwill Denver saves all of its Halloween costume donations all year, then puts them out just after Labor Day. In addition to costumes, you can create your own with a few items from Goodwill. Here are some photos and advice for character costumes, easy costumes and more. Tip: you may want to print this sheet and take it with you: http://www.goodwillnj.org/halloween/make-costume.html. Wait, here's more: http://www.goodwillnne.org/shop/halloween-headquarters/easy-to-make-halloween-costume-ideas/ AND here's ideas for a child in a wheelchair: http://cdn.goodwillnne.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Goodwill_HH_Wheelchair_Costumes.pdf
