Debbie's Deals: Free fly fishing classes offered in Boulder, Cherry Creek, Lone Tree, Estes Park

DENVER - Want to learn how to fly fish?

Orvis, the clothing store, is offering free fly fishing classes at seven stores around Colorado in April, May and June.

Fly Fishing 101 classes are not only free, you can even bring the kids. The only catch is that kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

"FF 101 classes concentrate on the two skills that intimidate most newcomers to the sport – knots and casting," according to Orvis. "The 101 course will consist of two parts – one hour of casting instruction and one hour of rigging. Most participants are true beginners so keeping the focus on learning these basic skills is the best place to start."

The Colorado classes are scheduled for April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17, May 24, May 31, June 7 and June 14 in Boulder, Cherry Creek, Lone Tree (Park Meadows), Breckenridge, Estes Park, Glenwood Springs and Basalt.

Learn more and RSVP on the Orvis website.

Participants will get a free Trout Unlimited Membership - a $35 value. If you finish the class, you'll also receive special in-store offers, valid for the purchase of Orvis products.
