Do you have a 529 college saving plan? Now may be the time to start one.Colorado's CollegeInvest program is offering a matching grant in 2010. If you invest up to $500, CollegeInvest will match that.You have to apply between February 1 and May 31 to be pre-approved for the matching grant for contributions you will make during the 2010 calendar year. One note, if you're approved, the matching money will be put in an account in February of next year. You may qualify for up to $500 in funds to match your contributions to each child's CollegeInvest account.To apply, you and your family must meet the eligibility criteria, then submit a completed application along with a copy of your federal income tax return from the previous calendar year.To see if you qualify, visit the CollegeInvest Web site.
