DENVER – The largest coin-operated auction held in Colorado was held at the Grand Lake Event Center Saturday evening.

Event organizers said they were auctioning off several classic favorites during the auction, including over 40 pinball machines and over 300 pieces of coin-operated equipment.

The auction was held from noon to 7 p.m.

“Grand Lake permanently lost its elementary school with many families leaving the area after the recession,” said Carey Barnes, owner of the Daven Haven Lodge in Grand Lake. “The town was able to purchase the school and is working to create a center that will attract events and vistors.”

Barnes said a portion of the proceeds will go to Children’s Hospital and Project Sanctuary.
