Fourth generation furniture retailer announces grand opening of 48,000 sq. ft. showroom

Littleton, CO - Locally-owned for four generations, Larrabee’s Furniture + Design celebrates the Grand Opening of a new 48,000 square foot furniture store in the former Kacey Furniture building off Broadway and County Line Road on Saturday, March 9th.
The full-service store is filled with gorgeous statement pieces and fashion-forward collections from luxury brands including Lexington, Schnadig, Caracole, Furniture Classics, Broyhill, Palliser, Norwalk, Meadowcraft, Woodard, Hanamint, Karastan, Oriental Weavers, Loloi, Our House Leather, Serta, Kingsdown and more.
Each piece has been curated to work beautifully in collections, or to stand alone in Colorado homes and lofts. The Larrabee’s Furniture + Design team of 25 includes certified designers and expert design consultants, and is operated daily by owners Scott and Carolyn Larrabee.
The Larrabee family has been known in Colorado for creating stores filled with beauty, quality, and style since 1962. The Larrabees, hand-select each piece in the store and oversee operations on site daily.
“We’re thrilled to be joining the Denver community after serving Boulder, Ft. Collins, and Greeley over the last 51 years,” says owner, Scott Larrabee. “Four generations of service has taught our family the value of buying only the best-constructed, highest quality lines, and insisting on prices that allow us to pass the savings on to our customers.

The Larrabee’s have secured some of Denver’s top designers and consultants to bring their vision to life, including long-time Homestead House General Manager, Roger Tomasek, Kacey Fine Furnishings’ set designer John Salisbury, and a team of certified designers with over 300 years of combined experience to assist customers with their design projects.
Work from designers on staff has been featured in Better Homes & Garden, Colorado Homes & Lifestyle, Redbook, The Denver Post, and the Parade of Homes.
The Larrabee’s affordable upscale store will offer a wide range of looks from contemporary casual to traditional, and will feature in-house design services, custom textiles, and full staging support for in-home installations.
A full service store, Larrabee’s Furniture + Design will be home to one of the best mattress showrooms in the state, featuring Serta, Kingsdown, Therapedic, and more. Customers will also enjoy a large gallery dedicated to fashion rugs from Loloi, Karastan, Surya, and Oriental Weavers/Sphynx. Scott & Carolyn Larrabee noticed a gap in the accessory market in Denver and attended shows in Las Vegas and Dallas in January to bring the most fashion-forward and affordable accessories to our market featuring industry darlings like Uttermost, Dale Tiffany and the Phillips Collection.
Active lifestyle aficionados will be pleased with one of the largest selections of upscale patio and outdoor living furniture available in the state this spring.
