GREELEY, Colo. - Colorado's status as a top sunflower producer in the United States is falling, and experts wonder if the crop will ever make a full comeback.
The state's total sunflower production was 55 million pounds in 2012, down about 55 percent from the year before.
The Greeley Tribune reports the continuing drought last year took a big toll on production.
