Lovestruck men around the country now have another reason for their wallets to hate them this Valentine's Day, after a Pennsylvania bakery introduced a $55,000 cupcake adorned with an 8-carat diamond ring.

Cupcakes Gourmet of Malvern teamed up with Warwick's Jewelers of Exton to offer the red velvet diamond-topped cupcake for those looking for a deliciously decadent way to propose marriage on Valentine's Day, KYW-TV reported.

"We wanted to do a statement piece, that when people see it they would say 'Wow, I can't believe this is a $55,000 beautiful ring,'" Brittany Burkland, marketing manager of Warwick Jewelers, told the TV station.

For those still mustering up the courage to propose, or those in need of some time to bulk up their disposable cash reserves, the cupcakes will be made available year-round by special order.
