Debbie's Deals: $20 Amazon Gift Card For $10
Group Buying=Discount
UPDATED: 10:22 am MST January 19, 2011
DENVER -- It's a good deal, a $20 gift card for Amazon.com for just $10. But it gets even better. If you buy it, then get three friends to buy it, you get it free. How?
It's the newest trend in finding deals, websites that offer a bargain if a certain number of people sign up. The trend started with Groupon.com. It's a website with one deal a day, however the deal isn't valid until a certain number of people sign up. It's called "groupon" as in "group" and "coupon." In the past few months it's offered discounted offers for bakeries, restaurants, organic produce, yoga, spas, nail salons and much more. Now Living Social takes that idea step further. Like groupon, it offers one deal a day at a deep discount. However, once you buy the deal, you'll get a unique link to share. If three people buy the deal using your link, then your deal is free. Today's deal is a $20 gift card at Amazon.com for $10. If you're interested, you have to buy quickly. The deal expires at about 6 a.m. Thursday. The best part about these deals, is you don't have to check out each website every day. Just sign up for a free email telling you the deal of the day. That way you can quickly decide if the deal is something you want, or not.If you see a deal, let me know! E-mail me Debbie (Debbie@thedenverchannel.com).
