UPDATED: 12:31 pm MDT June 2, 2010

Denver Public Schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch this summer at 39 schools.

All children ages 1 to 18 may eat for free. There are NO income requirements to qualify for the free meals. Adults can buy breakfast for $2.25 each. Adult lunches are $3.00 each if the adult eats at the school, it's 3.25 for carry out lunch.

The free meals are available five days a week, but dates vary by location. Most schools will offer meals starting in June, but some do not start until August.

The United States Department of Agriculture summer meal program funds most of the program, the district pays any leftover balance.

For a list of schools and meal dates, visit the Denver Public Schools website.
