DENVER -- If you know someone who needs a dress to go to prom, but is concerned about the cost, I've got help.

The Exchange in Jefferson County will have prom dresses available for the 10th year. Their goal is to make sure high school girls who otherwise would be unable to afford a dress attend their proms.

Teenagers can try on dresses from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 20 and 21, 2010.

Last year they had 2,000 dresses, this year they have more than 3,000 dresses available. Owner Cheryl Wise told me you don't have to prove need. Teenagers are welcome to come and try on dresses. If they find one, then the Exchange asks for a $10 donation. I'm told they have all sizes.

Wise just wants to make sure you tell your friends and neighbors about the event so they can help as many teenagers as possible.

There is no charge to attend the event.

If you have a dress to donate, especially sizes 14 to 28, please call Cheryl at 720-898-8388. They also take donations of shoes, purses, jewelry and any other accessories. They also need volunteers to help set up, assist and tear down for the event.
