DENVER -- Colorado's ski resorts want your children to get into skiing and snowboarding at a young age, so they offer a ski passport for 5th and 6th graders.5th graders get to ski three days for FREE at 21 different ski areas in Colorado. 6th graders get to ski four days at 21 different ski areas in Colorado for $99.One important note this year, the passports are not valid at the Vail owned resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge or Keystone. That's because Vail is not a part of Colorado Ski Country, the group that offers the passports. The passports are good at: Arapahoe Basin, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, Copper Mountain, Crested Butte, Purgatory (Durango), Echo Mountain, Eldora, Howelsen Hill, Loveland, Monarch, Powderhorn, Ski Cooper, Snowmass, SolVista, Steamboat, Sunlight, Telluride, Winter Park and Wolf Creek.

Colorado Ski & Golf offers a junior trade-in program that offers a used ski gear package to kids for just $94.99 and used snowboard package for $109.99. And check out the Ski Gems Card for discounted skiing at Colorado's smallest ski areas. If you see a deal, let me know!
