DENVER -- We've all used coupons, now there's a Web site to check out called Groupon. The idea is to use the power of the "group" to get "coupon" type deals.

Groupon started in Chicago. Now the Web site offers coupons for 24 cities. Groupon uses collective buying to negotiate prices. That means a minimum number of people must buy each deal for it to be available.

It's one deal a day.

Some of the recent deals for Denver included $50 for four tanning bed or spray tan sessions at Zolarium, $20 worth of food at Thunderbird Burger and BBQ for $10, a month of BCOR boot camp fitness classes for $49 (regular price $139) and a 5-hour guided rock climb with Denver Adventures for $80 (normal price $189).

If you don't want to look at the Web site every day, they make it easy, you can follow them on Twitter or Facebook. On Facebook, search Groupon Denver.

While the deals haven't been anything I've wanted to use, I do like that the Web site tells you how much the item is worth, the discount and how much you'll save by buying it.
