DENVER -- Forget paying big bucks to take the kids to a movie. Regal Movie Theatres is hosting a Family Film festival this summer and Kerasote Theatres is offering free summer movies. Regal has free movies for kids and parents on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Kerasote has free movies on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m.

Regal has been providing this service to the community since 1991.

First-come, first-served seating is limited to theater capacity. Tickets are available at select theaters' box office on the day of the show.

Each Regal theater shows different movies. Among the titles this month at Regal Theatres: Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (G), Space Chimps (G) and Kung Fu Panda (PG).

The Kerasote Theatres show the same movie. This week it's Paul Bart Mall Cop. Next week it's The Tale of Despereaux.

Regal has theatres in Littleton, Lakewood, Denver, Englewood and Longmont. Kerasote has theatres in Arvada, Aurora, Brighton, Castle Rock, Denver, Fort Collins, Littleton, Louisville and Parker.

AMC Theatres also have movies for kids. The movies are Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and there's a $1 charity donation per person.
