Debbie's Deals: Rockies Ticket Deals
Colorado Rockies Offer Several Discount Ticket Deals

DENVER -- Want to go to a Rockies game without breaking the bank? There are some options.Of course, the cheapest tickets in the ballpark are in the Rockpile. Adult Rockpile tickets are $4; kids 12 and under and seniors 55 and older are $1. There is a four-ticket limit per person per game for the $4 tickets and a two-ticket limit per person per game for the $1 tickets. The $1 tickets are only available for purchase at Coors Field and the child and/or senior must be present when you buy the tickets.A limited number of Rockpile tickets are available for advance purchase for all home games at the Coors Field Ticket Office, all King Soopers, select City Markets and Colorado Rockies Dugout stores or by calling 1-800-388-ROCK or online. Again, the $1 Rockpile tickets may only be purchased at the Coors Field Ticket Office.
On the day of the game, Rockpile tickets are sold beginning 2 1/2 hours prior to game time at the Rockpile Ticket Office located near Gate A.The next cheap option for families is Value Pack Games. For $49, you receive 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 Cokes, one Lot B parking permit and a Rockies magazine. Taking $5 off for the parking pass, that comes out to $11 per person for a game ticket, hot dog and a drink. There are 15 value-pack games, including one held on Mother's Day.The Rockies also have a ticket special called the powerticket. This is only a deal if you're willing to buy a $38 outfield ticket or a $40 midfield ticket. When you buy a powerticket, you get your regular ticket, plus a $10 concession credit. The offer is only available online and for certain games. It's a good deal if you're willing to spend $38 or $40 a ticket. I'm not.So, what did I buy? I'm part of the Ladies Fan Club. Yes, there's a Men's Fan Club, too.Buy the Ladies Fan Club package and you get two tickets to every Wednesday home game all season. The tickets are in right field on the lower level. The ticket package is $160 and includes a beer coupon for each Wednesday (because it's called the Coors Light Ladies Fan Club) and a commemorative gift.So take the ticket price -- $160 -- divide it by 13 games and two tickets for each game and the price comes down to $6.15 a ticket. Now I think that's a deal. If you don't want to go to a game, you can probably find a co-worker or a friend to buy your tickets when the tickets are that cheap. The Men's Fan Club is similiar, except that the tickets are for the Tuesday games. The price is $149 for 12 games. That comes out to about $6.20 a ticket. Because the Men's club is sponsored by Coors, the deal includes a free Coors coupon for each Tuesday. One very important note about buying fan club tickets. When I tried to buy online, the computer added a $40 service charge! Don't pay that! Call the box office and the service fee is $3.50.Read more about the fan club, value packs and powertickets on the Rockies ticket Web site. The Rockies also offer what's called "mini-plans" of season tickets. You pick the games you want and get the same seat for each game. The Web site says the mini-plans will save you 30 percent off the regular ticket prices. Prices start at $9 per ticket. If you see a deal, let me know! E-mail me Deb Stanley (Deb_Stanley@kmgh.com).
