Debbie's Deals: Cheap Lunch Thursday, Friday

While the free lunch is ending at Trail Dust Steak House, here's a heavily-discounted lunch deal for Thursday and Friday.

Imagine eating at The Broker Restaurant for $5 plus tax and drinks.

The Broker is a fancy restaurant on 17th Street in Denver. Lunch items normally range from $8.75 to $12.95. Dinner items range from $34 to $62.

But this week, The Broker is offering a heavily discounted, limited lunch menu.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can enjoy Alaskan salmon for $3.55, roasted prime rib for $4.95 and the restaurant’s world-famous shrimp bowl for $4.95. Salads are a mere 75 cents, a Club sandwich is $2.75 and the chicken pot pie is $2.95.

Why? The Broker is celebrating its 37th year by rolling back prices to the 1970s. They told me they do this every year to get people into The Broker and hopefully return.

They're not taking reservations, it's first come, first served.

The lunch deal is good through Friday, March 20 and then it disappears for another year.

I want to thank my friends at Mile High on the Cheap for this meal deal tip.

If you see a deal, let me know! E-mail me, Deb Stanley (Deb_Stanley@kmgh.com).
