What do you do when the blue Valpak envelope arrives in your mailbox every month?

A survey in our newsroom showed some people toss it out, others search through the ads.

I am one of those who search through the ads.

While a lot of the ads are for home improvement items like windows, siding, etc. I'm also finding restaurant coupons occasionally.

This week I found two BOGO (buy one get one free) coupons.

C.B. & Potts has an ad with a coupon for a free lunch (when you buy a lunch entree) and a free dinner (when you buy a dinner entree). To get the deal, you have to buy two drinks. Not a bad deal if you drink soda or something else already. C.B. & Potts has locations in Fort Collins, Greenwood Village, Westminster, Highlands Ranch and Flatiron.

I also found an ad with coupons for Le Peep restaurants. One coupon is a BOGO entree that can be used Monday through Saturday. There's also a coupon for $5 off a $10 ticket or more, a coupon for 25 percent off your total bill and a buy one entree, get one for 99 cents.

Using just one of these coupons will likely save you at least $5. Looking through the Valpak envelope took less than two minutes. Not a bad trade-off.
