Rangers Outright P Grilli, C Richardson To Minors

Arlington, TX -- (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers have outrighted pitcher Jason Grilli and catcher Kevin Richardson to Triple-A Oklahoma City, the club announced Wednesday.Grilli, who was acquired by the Rangers from the Colorado Rockies in June for cash considerations, finished the 2009 season with a combined 2-3 record with one save to go along with a 5.32 earned run average in 52 games, all out of the bullpen. The right-hander went 1-1 with a 1.53 ERA in his first 17 outings with Texas, before being placed on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation. Richardson made his big league debut on August 17 against Minnesota and went 2-for-4. He appeared in four games last season, going 3-for-6.
