DENVER – Nothing catches the eye more than a giant pumpkin capable of fitting at least five toddlers inside of it, as trick-or-treaters prance around looking to get their sugar fix on Halloween.

So if you think you have the biggest pumpkin around the state, you may want to drive to Old Colorado City on Saturday for the annual Giant Pumpkin Festival, starting at 10 a.m. sharp.

Giant pumpkins are set to line the streets in Old Colorado City as judges anxiously await to weigh each and everyone, in order decide who will take the title for the biggest pumpkin owner of 2017.

But it’s not just pumpkins you can expect to see at the event.

Grab the whole family for a pumpkin decorating contest, giant sidewalk sales, pie eating contests for every age, a scarecrow hunt and, of course, the Spirit Tour with local craft beer and wine tastings (this las one is 21 and over, sorry kids!).

The Spirit Tour is a ticketed event, so you’ll have to buy the tickets at the Old Colorado City Welcome Center, 2324 West Colorado. More information can be found here.

The event will go on until 3 p.m.
