DENVER – Colorado’s food scene is about to get some major national exposure as Bravo Media said Wednesday it’s bringing Season 15 of “Top Chef” to the Centennial State.

Production for the show -- with host Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio and judges Gail Simmons and Graham Elliot returning -- will begin this spring in Denver, Boulder and Telluride. The season is set to premiere later this year.

“We are always on the hunt for the next great culinary destination and Colorado is fast becoming a hot spot for young chefs and foodies, making it an ideal backdrop for our upcoming season,” said Shari Levine, Executive Vice President, Current Production, Bravo Media.

The announcement was made in partnership with the Colorado Tourism Office and the Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media.

While the cast of “cheftestants” was not announced, Colorado has had a place at the table of champions before.

Hosea Rosenberg won Season 5, Kelly Liken was among the final four in Season 7 and Jennifer Jasinski was among the three finalists of Top Chef Masters in 2013, according to Eater Denver.
