PUEBLO, Colo. — Say hello to the Pueblo Zoo’s newest litter of lion cubs and the cutest thing you'll see all day!

The three bundles of joy joined the zoo family on October 25. Zoo officials said Tuesday the three precocious cubs are thriving with their mother, Mashavu.

Taz Jahari sired the cubs and is also the father of the Pueblo Zoo’s celebrated Mumford. The three cubs — one male and two females — weighed 9.5, 9.3, and 7.9 pounds respectively at their first checkup on November 16.

Once they are vaccinated and ready to brave the outdoors, the cubs will be given access to the outdoor lion enclosure in late December, zoo officials said in a news release.
