Littleton, Colorado Springs among ‘hottest' zip codes for home sales

DENVER – Littleton and Colorado Springs are among the hottest real estate markets in the country, according to a new report from Realtor.com.

The cities were both in the top 10 on Realtor.com’s list of “Hottest zip codes” for the year. The 80123 zip code in Littleton was ranked fifth and 80922 in Colorado Springs came in at number seven.

Littleton was the only Denver metro city included in the ranking.

Realtor.com’s analysis – which included 32,000 zip codes nationwide -- focused primarily on how quickly homes sell and how often property listings are viewed in a given zip code. 

Though Littleton was one of the pricier markets on the list – the median listing price in 80123 is more than $530,000 – its homes typically sell in 22 days. In Colorado Springs, the median price is just over $270,000 and homes sell in 21 days. 

The title of “hottest” zip code in the country went to 76148 in Watauga, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth. Homes there sell in just 18 days.
