DENVER – The cost of renting an apartment in metro Denver continues to rise but not any faster than elsewhere in the state or across the country as a whole, according to new data from rental listing website ApartmentList.
Rents rose by 0.7 percent in May to a median cost of $1,050 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,330 for a two-bedroom.
Compared to the same time last year, those prices are 1.4 percent higher, which is just barely behind the state and national average increases of 1.5 percent.
Denver proper continues to have the lowest rents in the metro area while Lone Tree, with a median two-bedroom rent of $2,000, is the highest.
