A cute and cuddly surprise for people passing through Denver International Airport this week, as DIA hosted its first ever Puppy Bowl in the middle of the Jeppesen Terminal on Friday.

The "players" were dogs from the Dumb Friends League who were looking for a new "forever home" team.

DIA posted on Facebook that three of the five puppies were adopted.

Ollie and Moose, two Denver-are dogs who were chosen to play in the national Puppy Bowl XII, were also on hand to support the players. You can watch Ollie and Moose in action on Sunday during Puppy Bowl XII which airs on Animal Planet.

DIA also posted  "this was a one-time event... but we may have them back next year!"
