Learn about the Dumb Friends League's pet foster care program

On Thursday, Mar. 7, the Dumb Friends League Homes will host an open house where potential foster parents can learn more about the Homes with Hearts foster care program.

The program helps those pets who are not  immediate candidates for adoption due to their age or medical condition.

Foster parents often help pets too young to be adopted or pets recovering from injury or illness.

Those attending the open house will have a chance to speak with current foster volunteers and meet animals in need of foster care.

The open house is from 5-6:30 p.m at the Quebec Street shelter located at 2080 S. Quebec St. in Denver.

For more information on the open house, or to learn more about the Homes with Hearts foster care program, visit www.ddfl.org or call (303) 751-5772.
